To give honor and recognition to the parents, the University of Negros Occidental Recoletos- Elementary Department holds Parents’ Day on December 6, 2010.
The said event highlighted the giving of gifts such as cards and flowers to the parents of the students from the Pre-Elementary to Grade VI. It is usually held on the first Monday of December
Meanwhile, UNO-R champions in the recently held Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural, and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) will represent in the Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) on December 19 -22, 2010.
Literary Musical Champions are Erwin Nicavera (Binalaybay), Joanna Francis Villojan (Vocal Solo –classical), and Philip Lui Deocadiz and partner Rachel Sun (Dance Sport – Latin Category).Also, in sporting discipline champion teams are Sepak Takraw, Football, Table Tennis (Women Division), and Volleyball (Mens’ Division).
On the other hand, NOPSSCEA sponsors a seminar-workshop on Sports writing which will be held on December 12, 2010 at UNO-R Cuenca Hall. This is to prepare Mass Communication students from USLS and UNO-R for their volunteer work during the WV PRISAA Meet on Dec. 18 – 22. Mr. Allen del Carmen, Mr. Ericson Rios and Mr. Eric Loretizo.
