Edward Warren O. Torres, a fifth year BSECE student, was declared the national champion in the recent 4th Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP) PalaECEpan Quiz Competition held at SM City-Cebu last February 1-2, 2008.
The annual PalaECEpan Competition tests the intellectual skills of the smartest engineering students from SWEEP partner schools nationwide.
Torres was coached by Engr. Christopher G. Alunan.
He received a grand prize of P40,000, a trophy and a cellular phone courtesy of Smart Telecommunications.
