TWO Negrenses made it to the top 10 of the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers(LET) conducted by the Professional Regulations Commission and the Board of Professional Teachers, the PRC website showed yesterday.
Rowena Porceso Guardiano of UNO-Recoletos with an average of 86.6% and Ann Stephany Villaluz de Alvan of Carlos Hilado memorial State College, Talisay City campus with 86.4%, ranked 9th and 10th for Elementary Education, respectively.
PRC Records show that only 12, 103 out of 44, 144 applicants passed the LET for Elementary Education or about 27.42%, while only 17, 904 out of 56, 596 examinees, or about 31.63% passed the LET or Secondary Education. The top performing schools for elementary education examination were De La Salle University of Manila, University of Philippines, St. Louise University, Central Philippine University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela and Polytechnic University. As for the Secondary level, the top performing schools were UP-Diliman, St. Louise University, Xavier University, and Philippine Normal University. Meanwhile, the registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card Certificate of Registration will start on June 1, the PRC announced.
Requirements for the release of the PRC ID are duly accomplished oath form, latest community tax certificate, a colored passport sized picture, metered documentary stamp for the oath form, initial registration fee of P600, and annual registration fee of P450 for 2015-2018. (Visayan Daily Star)
