ADVENT CELEBRATION AT UNO-R

The UNO-R community formally opened the Advent season last December 5 at Paseo Recoleto after the Concelebrated Mass at the Oratory. The welcoming of the Advent season started with the message of the Fr. President, “God is so good that we are given the opportunity to gather together…This celebration is only a symbol. The symbol is supposed to direct us to where we are going, and that is to Jesus Christ.” The lighting of the Belen and the giant Christmas tree came after the KDC presentation. Christmas carols singing were done by the composite of students and faculty members led by Dean Nieves Pepito of the College of Arts and Sciences and another number from the faculty of Grade School Department led by Mrs. Sunya Phi Sumalde. College of Business and Accountancy faculty member Ms. Marilyn Cheng rendered a beautiful song while the Religious organizations led the community singing of the “Let There be Peace on Earth”. Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR led the Closing Prayer. The Christmas lights for the Christmas tree were donated by the College Councils and Campus organizations under the COF. The Advent celebration had a theme “Enlivening the faith and strengthening the Recollect family.”
