The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Fray Luis de Leon Library held the Awarding of the Top Borrowers and IMC Users 2009-2010 and the launching of the Library Web page last tuesday, December 1, 2010 at the 2nd floor Fray Luis Library with the theme “Global Interaction for linkages through books and Information Communication Technology “or “Pangdaigdigang Pakikipag-ugnayan sa Pamamagitan ng Aklat,Komyunikasyon at Teknolohiya”. This is in line with the 76th National Book Week celebration from November 22-27, 2010.
According to Ms. Virgie Mugar, Chairman of National Book Week and the Technology Librarian of UNO-R “the event is the tradition of Fray Luis de Leon Library to give recognition for the students and faculty who keep on supporting us for many years”.
Mr. Dennis Udani (BS Accountancy) Beatrice Jeon (Grade III- Sunflower) and Farah Garilva ( Grade IV- Gold) were awarded as the top borrowers form the students category also Ms. Nieves H. Pepito ( Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences) and Ms. Marissa B. Petalla ( Grade School Department )were the top borrowers for the Faculty Category and Ms. Ma. Rosario Abaring (College of Business and Accountancy) Ms.Ma. Riza Manalo (College of Arts and Sciences) and Mr. Patchito Moreno ( College of Education) were awarded as the top IMC users.
Mr. Ricky Noel Diancin Jr. a Fourth year ComSci Student together with his team Mr. Belmar John Perido, Mr. Christopher Laconsay and Ms. Pauline Ventor, launched the newest Library Webpage.
