CAS CELEBRATES 3RD ARTIAN ACCOLADE

College of Arts and Sciences celebrated “ARTians Accolade: On A Roll”, March 22, 2019 at UNO-R Auditorium. It opened with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fray Cristituto Palomar, OAR. Dr. Annabee Mangbanua-Claur, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, gave the Welcome Remarks. Fray Amadeo Lucero, OAR, UNO-R VP-Student Welfare, gave the inspirational message. The College recognized the Artian Hitmakers. The Psychology students were awarded for giving pride to the College as 3rd place winner in the PsyClips competition during Psychological Association of the Philippines- Junior Affliates (PAPJA) Convention; Mass Communication students were awarded as Finalist during Feb-ibig Film Fest sponsored by UNNORSSGO; Marione Dela Minez, BSMC 4 was recognized for making it as Ms. NOPSSCEA 2019 and First Runner-Up in Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA); and Carmen Jesusa Legaspi, BSMC 4, current Governor of College of Arts and Sciences also received an award for being a THOS finalist. A serenade from Artians Sessionistas during dinner was done. All CAS Program’ Presidents were given recognition. They are Johanne Bursky H. Reduble (Mass Communication), Daniela L. Prietos (Psychology), Ludy Marie G. Batobatan (Agriculture); Kristen Joy P. Salcedo (Social Work) respectively. Service Awards, Representative for Extra-curricular Awards, A+ SURE Awardees, Best Interns and Cas MVP’s were also recognized. The freshmen performed the intermission number to hype up the mood of the event. After the dance, presentation of 1st year, ASSC Governor Carmen Jesusa Legaspi turned over the key of responsibility to the next ASSC Governor Stevenson Toresis and newly elected council officers.
