The UNO-R Medical Technology Department of the College of Arts and Sciences played host to the 39th PASMETH (Philippine Association of Schools of Medical Technology/Public Health) Convention last April 23-24, 2009 with the theme “Responding to Global Challenges through Educational Innovations”.
At the Opening Program on April 23, the Spoken Prayer was delivered by Prof. Celia R. Rosin, Co-chair of the 39th Annual Convention after the entrance of colors. The College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Chorale led everyone to the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Fr. Raul M. Buhay, OAR, VP-Academics, welcomed the participants to the convention while PASMETH President Dean Zenaida C. Cajucom gave the Opening Remarks. Keynote Speaker was Hon. Wilson Gamboa, Jr., Member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Bacolod.
The two-day convention held at UNO-R included a series of lectures and election of officers and culminated with a Panaad Festival Tour.
