Inquirer Research Head Speaks To Masscom Students

Ms. Minerva Generalao, Head of the Research Department of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, talked to a group of Mass Communication students enrolled in the Photo Journalism class under Bro. Jaazeal Jakosalem, OAR last March 6, 2009 at 4:30 in the afternoon at Room SA 101.

In her talk, Ms. Generalao explained the complexities behind the news writing process especially in monitoring the news.  She emphasized three rules in journalism that budding news writers should observe: accuracy, accuracy, and accuracy.  Ms. Generalao has been connected with the Philippine Daily Inquirer for more than 10 years now and has been tasked to oversee the accuracy of the information being published in the said publication.  Aside from the Mass Communication students, members of the Web Team, and other local school writers attended the mini-conference to gain some insights from Ms. Generalao.
