Nelia Dingcong Bernabe, an alumna and former head and faculty of the Mass Communication Department of the College of Arts and Sciences, addressed a group of Mass Communication students last February 9, Monday, at the Mass Communication Studio.
In her talk, she emphasized the importance of written and oral communication skills. She also stressed that for one to become an excellent communicator, one must possess a high degree of self-confidence. She added that the Masscom students would need these academic skills and preparations to become successful media practitioners. She thanked the UNO-R Mass Communication Department for the training and experience which landed her a job in the broadcast industry in the U.S. (RMJavier)
