The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) has granted UNO-Recoletos College of Arts and Sciences and Medical Technology Department level III accreditation which is valid until December 2009.
Level III would mean additional benefits to the existing ones afforded by the previous levels. Now, the College and the department enjoy authority to offer new courses without the need for prior approval, provided that CHED Regional Office (CHEDRO) is duly informed and the privilege to apply for authority to offer new graduate programs, open learning/distance education, extension classes and participate in the transnational education.
Fr. Demetrio Peñascoza, OAR, UNO-R President, conveyed his message to all UNO-Rians that this achievement has placed the University over again in the limelight. This is a proof of excellence…He believes that UNO-Recoletos will always prevail.
The PAASCU level III accreditation came while the University celebrates the honor as Engr. Ildefonso Ortega, Jr. recently topped the Mechanical Engineering Board exams and the University getting 100% passing percentage and Agnes Flor Andrade getting 4th place in the Medical Technology Licensure Examinations and high passing percentage in other licensure examinations.
