The Blue and Gold Alumni Association, Incorporated, the Alumni Association Board elected Dr. Angelus Calansingin Diamante as President of the Association for 2 years. The new set of officers for 2013 – 2015 are: Oscar Mesticampo – V – President; Dr. Rosimar Gomez-Reyes – Treasurer; Scarlette Pabalinas – Asst. Treasurer; Lourdes Mirasol – Secretary; Amado Villacarlos and Carlos Legaspi, Jr. – PIO; Jose Montalbo – Business Manager; Reymundo Magno – Auditor; Atty. Mateo Valenzuela – Legal officer; Chito Valderrama – Historical Officer; Annie Bachinela – Protocol Officer; Ma. Nenuca Herman; Maria Luisa Templado; and Francis Cuaycong – Board of Directors. Induction of officers will be done sometime in February.
Dr. Diamante said she will continue with the projects started by the previous administration. She also plans to have more community development projects anchored with the students and campus organizations of the university.
Meanwhile, The UNO-R Supreme Student Government, headed by Mr. Bobb Bokingo, will spearhead the 2013 Environmental Week from January 23 to 26. Activities for the celebration are: January 23 – Poster Making Contest at 3:30 PM at the Main Lobby; Essay Writing Contest at 4:00 and Intercollegiate Environmental Quiz Bowl at 4:30 at the University Students’ Center; January 23 – 26 – Search for the Cleanest College Council and Waste-to –art contest; January 24 – 26 – Poster Exhibit and EVIDEOKASI Film Showing; January 26 – Mangrove Planting and Awarding Ceremony at 9 am at Brgy. Punta Taytay.
