A Memorandum of Understanding making Dalayapan as the University’s Community Development partner was signed between UNO-R and Dalayapan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative last October 24.
Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR, signed the MOU for the University while Mr. Rodolfo Arco, Cooperative chairman signed for the cooperative. Teresita R. Mabunay, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer 2, Alvin Ramoran, RSW, UCDO OIC-Director; and Melissa M. Noble, DARCO Secretary signed as witnesses.
Mr. Ramoran presented the UCDO’s 5-year Development plan for Dalayapan with areas on Economic, Education, Spiritual-Moral, Health, Socio-cultural, and Environment.
In his message, Fr. Alve underscored the presence of UNO-R in the community will be for the integral development human development, while Mabuhay commented that this project of UNO-R is one of a kind opportunity for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries organization (ARBO) to be adopted by a prestigious university.
On the other hand, Arco shared his joy and said they are so lucky with UNO-R, especially with the very supportive University President. The University also donated five computer sets for the Cooperative office use. Dr. Annabee M. Claur, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, gave the closing remarks. The college will be responsible for the preparation stage.
