UNOR HOLDS A 2-DAY PAASCU MEETING

                A 2-day presentation and deliberation of PAASCU reports were done last December 6 and 9 at the President’s Hall. The December 6 activity opened with an inspirational message from Fr. President asking everyone to work together. Each has to own these reports, he added. Responses to the Common Areas were tackled during the day. The reporting started with Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr. on Philosophy, vision, Goals and objectives, followed by Mrs. Ma. Judy B, Legaspi, MAEd on the area of Administration, Ms. Mabel Gonzales, RSW, MSSW on Community Involvement; Ms. Sheila De la Cruz on Library, Dr. Chris Feli Tajonera on Student Services, and Mr. Ernil Orbecido on the area of Physical Plant. Dr. Ma. Theresa H. Chavez, PAASCU Accreditation Committee Co-Chair gave the instructions on how to document the report and Former PQA Director Dr. Emer Haro gave his comments on the reports presented. Fr. Romeo Ben Potencio, Jr., OAR PAASCU Accreditation Committee Chair, gave the closing Remarks and blessings to the participants. He reminded everyone to always carry poise under pressure.

                The December 9 activity opened with a community prayer. It started with the reports on the specific programs. For the Arts, Business and Education (ABE), Dean Ma. Theresa H. Chavez, Ph.D. reported on the area of faculty; Dean Annabee Claur, PhD on the area of instruction; and Dean Joanne Saquina, MMBM, on laboratories. In the afternoon, the session was opened by Dean Christopher Taclobos, MEngME for the College of Engineering Programs and was followed by Engr. Lea Joy Hiponia for faculty; Engr. Krishna Estelle Viaje for instruction and Engr. Rachel Amparo for laboratories. The program ended with reminders coming from Dr. Chavez and words of encouragement and blessing from Fr. Potencio.
