UNO-R HONORS SANTO TOMAS DE VILLANUEVA

A concelebrated Mass in honor of Santo Tomas de Villanueva was held at the Oratory last October 10, 2022 with Rev. Fr. Joel Alve, OAR as the main celebrant. He was joined by Rev. Fr. Amadeo Lucero, OAR, and Fr. Samuel Eyas, OAR. In his homily, Fr. Alve shared the extraordinary life of a simple man, Thomas. He lived his life helping the poor and asking for favors from God. After the Mass, the community blessed the Saint’s image at the park. The Blue and Gold Alumni Association donated the image. The artist who formed the image is Mr. Rodolfo Gatinao, Jr.

The academic community paraded to the gymnasium to celebrate Institutional Teachers’ Day last October 10, 2022. Students from the different academic programs rendered literary and musical numbers for their teachers. Fr. Romeo Ben Potencio, Jr., OAR gave the welcome remarks, Fr. President gave the inspirational message and Dean Ma. Theresa H. Chavez gave the closing remarks. The Fr. President, in his message, reminded the community of the dignity of a teacher, that even Jesus Christ was addressed as a teacher. We need to live our titles. We need to love our school, our students, and our fellow teachers.
