UNO-R HOLDS SERVICE AWARDS 2022

Twenty-two university employees were cited during the Service Awards Night 2022 held at the Planta Centro Hotel and Residences last September 10, 2022. The program opened with the Invocation led by Rev. Fr. Cristituto Palomar, OAR. Director for Human Resource Management and Development Office, Fr. Amadeo Lucero, OAR, gave the words of welcome. A message to our awardees was given by the University President, Fr. Joel Alve, OAR. He reminded thanked the awardees for their dedicated service to UNO-R. This was followed by the Diwa Rekoleto awards and the St. Ezekiel Moreno Award.

The Diwa Rekoleto award is given to an employee who has rendered 10, 15, and 20 years of service. This year’s awardees are

Czarina Mae Ferrer (CAMHS) and Mars Olea (SSD supervisor) for their 10th year of service;

Jean B. Pauyon (CCJE) for her 15th year of service, and

Harry Magluyan (IS Principal) and Virgie Tek-ing (RBGS) for her 20th year of service.

The St. Ezekiel Moreno Award is given to an employee who has rendered 25, 30, and 35 years of service. This year’s St. Ezekiel Moreno awardees are:

Ma. Theresa H. Chavez (Dean of the College of Education), Leila Magalona (IS), Ferdinand Concepcion (HRMDO), Joie de la Rosa (Property Admin office), and Sheila de la Cruz (Director, Fray Luis de Leon Library) for their 25 years of service;

Imelda Matullano (COEd), Catherine Sebastian (Scholarships’ Office), Cristina Su-ay (Accounting), Quirico Yanguas, Jr. (Property Admin Office), Rommel Adricula (CABACS) and Linalyn Rose Bueno (IS) for their 30 years of service; and

Pia Flores (IS) for her 35th year of service.

Pia Flores gave the response on behalf of the teaching staff, while Imelda Matullano gave the response on behalf of the non-teaching staff.

After dinner was the awarding of the Star of Tolentine Awards. This award is presented to a retiring or a retired employee covered in the academic year 2022-2023. The Star of Tolentine awardees are:

Celo Magallanes (CAS);

Nieves Pepito (CAS);

Gerardo Fandida (IS);

Ma. Cristina Quillo (FLDL) and

Norberto Sardito, Jr. (Maintenance).

Each of the awardees gave their responses. Fr. Romeo Ben Potencio, Jr., OAR, Vice President for Academics and Research, gave the closing remarks by thanking all the employees for collaborating and for all the families for their understanding for lending their family members to the university.
