The university community held a send-off ceremony, tagged as “Peregrinatio”, held last July 20, 2022, at 3:30 pm at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentine. The ceremony was for Fray Don Besana, OAR, who is assigned to SSC-R, Canlubang; Fray William Villaflor, OAR and Fray Persiuz Decena, OAR who are assigned to Recoletos de Cebu community.
The ceremony opened with the prayer led by Fray Cristituto Palomar, OAR. Messages for the three priests were given by Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr., Ms. Carina Barayoga, Mr. Harry Magluyan and Ms. Venus Blancia. An audio-visual presentation prepared by the Office of External Affairs was aired. Responses were then given by Fr. Besana and Fr. Decena. Fray Amadeo Lucero, OAR, new Prior of the community gave the final blessing to the three on their journey to their new assignments. Community singing closed the ceremony. Picture taking and agape for the community capped the activity.
