UNO-R, San Isidro Labrador Quasi Parish, Brgy. Damsite Council ink partnership on Community Development

In its pursuit towards evangelization through Transformative Community Building, the University of Negros Occidental- Recoletos (UNO-R), thru the University Community Development Office (UCDO) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the San Isidro Labrador Quasi Parish and Barangay Damsite Council last February 17, 2022.

The MOA Signing Ceremony was led by Vice President for Religious Affairs Rev. Fr. Cristituto A. Palomar, OAR, UCDO Director Ms. Maribel M. Gonzales, RSW, MSSW, San Isidro Labrador Quasi Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jonathan Borromeo, Barangay Damsite Captain Hon. Regie A. Burata, together with Purok Libertad Dos President Mr. Arnold Flores, and Community Leader Ms. Vivian Legaspi, who served as witnesses. With the approval of the School Board and the University President, Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR, the university chose Libertad Dos as its partner community for development. Despite their financial difficulties, the people demonstrated a sense of unity, gentleness, and generosity.

Fr. Palomar, in his message, emphasized the values of loving and sharing that give people the opportunity to help and care for the poor. He added that the love of God made us in His image and likeness, So we have to help others to become children of God. Moreover, the aforementioned stakeholders made this commitment to support and collaborate in implementing programs and projects in accordance with the UCDO’s program thrusts such as health, economic, education, spiritual-moral, socio-cultural, and environment to help alleviate the situation of the people in the partner community.
