UNO-R CELEBRATES FEAST OF ST. EZEKIEL MORENO…
The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos academic community celebrated the feast of St. Ezekiel Moreno last August 19, 2021, at 10:00 am. Lay Administrators attended the Eucharistic celebration at the Oratory while the faculty and staff attended the Mass via Facebook live. The fiesta Mass was presided by Fray Amadeo Lucero, OAR with Fray Don Besana, OAR and Fray Cristituto Palomar, OAR. Before the Mass, a Rosary for healing was prayed by the different offices within the university. However, it is very sad to note that this is the second year that the Walk for Healing was suspended due to the pandemic. The practice had been initiated by Fray Antonio Limchaypo, OAR, and Fray Raul Buhay, OAR in 2007 and has been going on until 2019 which was halted by the pandemic in 2020.
. . . OAR COMMUNITIES IN BACOLOD ALSO CELEBRATE.
The Augustinian Recollect communities in the Diocese of Bacolod celebrated the feast of St. Ezekiel Moreno last August 19. The Community at RESOURCE – Handumanan celebrated their fiesta with RESOURCE President Fray Ronel P. Gealon, OAR. The OAR Contemplative nuns of the St. Ezekiel Moreno Monastery in Tangub celebrated their fiesta with Bishop Louie Galbines, DD, Bishop of Kabankalan, as main Presider of the Eucharistic celebration. All other OAR communities in the Philippines and abroad celebrated the feast of the patron Saint of the OAR Province.
