The University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos undergoes the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), February 13 and 14, 2020. PAASCU will conduct a preliminary survey for the accreditation applications of Nursing and Social Work programs and for the interim visit for the Arts and Sciences, Elementary and Secondary Education, and Business Administration programs. The team chairperson is Ms. Concepcion Rosales, Consultant, Ateneo de Manila University, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies. Ms. Rosales will be for the area of Administration. She is joined by Ms. Ma. Dreena del Mundo, former Chair, Child Development and Education of Miriam College, Quezon City for the area of faculty; and Ms. Joy Mabaylan is the PAASCU Representative. The BS Nursing program Team is composed of Dr. Marietta Gaddi, former Dean, College of Nursing, Holy Angel University for the area of Faculty; Dr. Zenaida Fernandez, Dean, College of Nursing, Angeles University Foundation for the area of Laboratories; and Dr. Rhoda Reyes, former VP-Academics, Philippine Women’s University for curriculum, instruction and community involvement. Meanwhile, Ms. Agnes Feliza Edillon, former Chair of the Social Work Department, St. Joseph’s College of Quezon City for the areas of Faculty and Laboratories; and Dr. Melba Manapol, Head, Social Work Dept., Ateneo de Davao for the areas of Curriculum and Instruction for the accreditation of the BS Social Work program. The team were welcomed by the Religious and Lay Administrators of UNO-Recoletos, led by Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR, university President and Rev. Fr. William Villaflor, OAR, Recoletos de Bacolod House Prior, at the Main Lobby of the University.
