CBA HOLDS WELCOME AND SEND –OFF PROGRAM FOR SIAP

The College of Business and Accountancy Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) held its Batch 6 Welcome and 7th Batch Send-off program at the President’s Hall, January 8, 2020. The program opened with a prayer led by Reezel Canete of Batch 6. Dean Grace L. Lopena, CPA, MBA, JD gave the rationale of the activity. She reiterated the objectives of the SIA Program of UNO-R to Japan. She encouraged them that in case the objectives in the MOA are not met, the student interns are free to complain. On the question of why are Business Management and Marketing students allowed to join, she answered that the reason for this is that the students of UNO-R are versatile. Fray Jose Alden Alipin, OAR gave the Welcome Remarks by reminding the 6th batch of what he told them 6 months ago. The three-points, he sent them with, were: You do not just bring yourself there but you bring UNO-R with you; You have to be the source of strength for one another; you always have to pray. June Steve Barredo, HTM and Scottie William Liza, BSBA thanked the administration for the support and the continuation of the program. They also shared that they have learned a lot from the program. Fray Don H. Besana, OAR, university President gave the words of encouragement and asked the community to bless the 7th batch. Fr. President told them to always remember that they are not just themselves but they are UNO-Rians, they are Filipinos.
