The University opened its Christmas Season, Dec. 5, 32019 with the lighting of the Christmas trees at the parks and the Universit lobby. The committee led by Fray Cristituto Palomar, OAR and co-chaired by Mr. Vince Adolfo and Mrs. Genie Pedrosa requested the members of the university community to light up the trees at the Founders’ Park, Paseo Rekoleto and the main university park. The response from the clustered groups was overwhelming that each group decorated their assigned trees with lights. At the Paseo Rekoleto, three groups were tasked to decorate the three trees. While, four groups were assigned at the Founders’ Park and the UNOR Supreme Student Government (UNOSSGO) decorated the University Park. The clustered groupings are: Group I – President’s Office, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Criminal Justice Education, STEP Office, External Affairs office, and MIS; Group II – VP-Academics office, College of Education, School of Law, Clinical Laboratory, RBGS, and Registrar’s Office; Group III – Senior High School, Fray Luis De Leon Library, Tolentine Star, Property Administrator’s office, and Pamilya Rekoleto; Group 4 – Office of the VP-Administration, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Allied Medical Health Sciences Bookstore, Medical-Dental Clinic; Student Development and Placement Center, Group 5 – Office of the VP-Student Welfare, Student Affairs office, College of Information Technology, College of Engineering, Sports office and ICTD; Group VI – Office of the VP-Finance, UNOFELA, UNOR FEMAA, MPC, BGAA and UNORAAFI; Group VII – Office of the VP-Religious Affairs, FYVM (UNO-R Pastoral Council), SARF, UCDO, CMO, REEd and HRMDO; And Group VIII –UNOSSGO. The coordinators for the different groups are Mrs. Lina Macabales (Group 1); Mrs. Matullano (Group II); Mrs. Sheila de la Cruz, Mr. Harry Magluyan, Mrs. Mardy Casue and Ma. Gearla Manderico (Group III); Ms. Chris Feli Joy Tajonera (Group IV); Ms. Luz Cielo Ganza (Group V); Mrs. Judy Mendoza (Group VI); Ms. Jesusa Escalona (Group VII) and Dr. Dexter Paul Dioso (Group VIII). The Giant Christmas Tree at the Paseo Rekoleto sponsored by the Administration was designed by CAS Dean, Dr. Annabee Claur while the Nativity scene at the Founder’s park was architected by Mr. Avelino Kalalang III. While the main lobby’s Christmas Tree is borrowed from Mrs. Mary Jeanie Bayona. Charles Gelotin, BSMC 2 and Kyla Arribas, BSMC2 were the emcees of the program.
