A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS AT UNO-R

The university community celebrated its institutional Christmas party with the theme of “a Magical Christmas” . The program was divided into two parts: the fairy tales’ Magical Christmas presentation and the Christmas contests and program. The day opened with the Eucharistic celebration at the oratory with the FR. President as Main Celebrant and Rev. Fr. Enrico Peter Silab, OAR as Homilist The Holy Mass was followed by a Christmas presentation at the Main lobby with all the departments represented.

The Music Box opened the program with Engr. Racheal Amparo as the ballerina. The Religious Education Department performed the “Snow White” with Fr. Ronel Gealon,OAR as Prince Charming and Mrs. Evelinda Chavez as Snow White and special participation of Fray. Sarita as one of the 7 dwarfs. Dean Jasmin Parreňo and Mr. Ferdinand Emmanuel Gayoles performed the beauty and the Beast with the faculty of the Colleges of Criminal Justice Education and Information Technology. The group from the Non-Teaching Personnel performed the “Hunchback of Notre Dame with Mr. William Montano as Quasimodo; Mrs. Ma. Judy Legaspi as Esmeralda and Mr. Jose Caballero as “the Jester”. The group from the College of Education performed “Mulan” with Dean Manalo getting the lead role; CB&A community danced the epic Alladin with Dean Gaspillo as Princess Jasmin and Sir Coloso as Alladin; the College of Engineering presented “Hercules” with Dean Tacolobos and Engineer Rue Gustilo as Hercules and Young Hercules respectively. While Junior and Senior High school department relived the story of Anastacia. Dean Sheila Arnibal led the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences faculty in their rendition of Pocahontas’ “Colors of the wind” . Dean Annabee Magbanua appeared on stage as Cinderella with Mr. Celo Magallanes as the Prince. The Grade School Department reenacted the story of “Frozen” with Mrs. Lucille Montalbo as Elsa and joined by the faculty. The program closed with the OAR administrators interpretation of the theme song of the “Prince of Egypt” with Fr. Pellazar as Moses. Mrs. Barbara “Barbie” Cordova was the Fairy God mother.

During the party, minor and major door prize were given away. Among the winners were: Ms. Meralie Mae Gualdrapa; Mrs. Legaspi; Dean Arnibal; Mrs. Nona Garcia; and Mrs. Leizel Uy. Prizes were also given to those who won the best in costume- male and female category.
