The president of a certified training, education, and development center of the Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd. (“K” LINE) in the Philippines, Capt. Edgardo T. Baratang and his staff paid a courtesy visit to the College of Engineering on July 7, 2016. They inform Dean Taclobos that they are now accepting applicants for the next batch in the Marine Engineering bridging program. Joining them during the visit was Engr. Marvin Blanco, a former READS scholar assigned at the University convent, who will join the latest batch to finish the training this August 2016. As a token of appreciation to the continued partnership in quality maritime education, K Line donated several gadgets to the college. They include the following: safety glasses, hacksaw blade, steel brush, hammers, steel tape and safety gloves. The College continually supplies highly competent mechanical engineers to K Line for the bridging program of BS Marine Engineering. (Dean Christopher Taclobos)
