Dr. Consuelo Callang, a member of the PSERE was the resource speaker of the activity. According to Dr. Mona Freda Secondes, UNO-R Research, Planning and Development Office Director, “we need to have an expert in research to help our faculty to improve their skills in research, especially in qualitative type which emerged to be easier compared to other type of research”. “In terms of research our faculty is not that strong, and we have requirements from Commission on Higher Education (CHED) which is teaching, community extension and research. We are good at the first two requirements, however, we need to do better in research”, she added. 72 participants from different colleges, departments and offices in the university attended the two-days seminar-workshop. The activity has no registration fee, since it is part of the advocacy of Dr. Callang to share her expertise in the field of research and of the PSERE in general.
