6-Peat for the Tigers

The College of Engineering Tigers continues to reign as College Sportsfest Champions of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos. The activity closed last February 13, 2016 at exactly 5:30 PM. With an overall score of 430 points, the Tigers successfully defended their title amidst of winning only three championships in the event such as: Basketball Men, and Chess Men and Women against their greatest rival in this year, the Jaguars of the College of Criminal Justice Education won six championships in Athletics (Men and Women), Basketball Men, Table Tennis (Men and Women), and Volleyball (Men) gaining 370 points. Following Jaguars are the College of Business and Accountancy Griffins with 310 points in 3rd Place, College of Arts and Sciences Eagles with 255 points in 4th Placer, the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences serpents with 255 points in 5th Place due to tie-break rule of the tournament. Then, College of Education Phoenix followed as 6th Placer with 215 points, and the College of Information Technology Falcons with 150 points at 7th Place. Awarded as Most Valuable Player of each events are: John Michael Ahunin (CCJE) and Decemae Tindog – 4-time MVP(CCJE) for Athletics, Alvin Caniezo (COEN) and Janeth Toreno (CCJE) for Basketball, Mac Jan Emil De Oca (COEN) and Valerie Joy Alonte (COEN) for Chess, Dave Garcia (CB&A) and Erica Perez (CAS) for Football, BJ Dela Cruz (CCJE) and Leslee Lomeran (CCJE) for Table Tennis; and Adrian Miranda (CCJE) and NormieLynn Tabujara- 4-time MVP (CNAHS) for Volleyball.
