UNO-R Launches OAR Graduate Attributes

UNO-R held its launching for the OAR Graduate Attributes last December 3, 2014. The program started with a Concelebrated Mass with Fr. Julius Marcos, OAR as the Main Presider and Homilist. His concelebrants were Fr. President; Fr. Rouel Sia, OAR; Fr. Loreto Dacanay, OAR; Fr. Pedro Escanillas, OAR and Fr. Edcel Celiz, OAR. After, the Mass, the launching program for the OAR Graduate Attributes was held with the welcome address of Bro. Jaazeal Jakosalem, OAR where he stressed the need for the “Tatak Rekoleto” identity. Fr. Marcos gave the rationale of the activity. He stressed that the OAR General Council had mandated the OAR Provincial Council through the Recoletos Educational Apostolate of the Philippines(REAP) to look fr avenues in building a “One Catholic community, Rekoletos identity”. He challenged the UNO-R community to live the “Tatak katoliko, tatak Rekoleto” identity. Fr. Marcos’ talk was followed by the “supposed-to-be” talk of Fr. Moral on Catholic Faith by Fr. President. Fr. Buñao shared the need for orthodoxy in Catholic faith; integrity of moral life and dynamism in Prayer life. School Head of Colegio de San Nicolas de Tolentino Rev. Fr. Jose Ernil Almayo, OAR gave a talk on the expected OAR Graduate attributes. He said that recoletos education expects its graduates to demonstrate, participate, show love, share joy of his being a catholic and a rekoleto graduate. He is also expected to emulate Mary, Our Mother. He should have the Apostolic, Contemplative, and communitarian characters. The program ended with the recitation and signing of the Tatak Rekoleto Pledge. (With news from Jody Anne Vidal, BSMC intern)
