Christmas season at UNO-R was declared open last December 3 at the Paseo Rekoleto. The program started at 5:15 PM. Dr. Carlos Legaspi, Jr, UNO-R DSA/PRO gave the rationale of the program. Fr. President gave his Christmas message for the students. The Belen, Christmas tree, and lanterns were blessed by Fr. President, Fr. Loreto Dacanay, OAR and Fr. Edcel Celis, OAR. The blessing was followed by cultural dances presentations from our NOPSSCEA winners. Fr. President and UNOFELA President Engr. Noli Ortiz lighted the Christmas tree while UNORSSGO President Christian Miran lighted lanterns from the different colleges while Fr. Rouel Sia, OAR lighted the Belen. A tribute to the late Fr. Cornelio Moral,OAR was led by the REEd faculty led by Dr. Jane Eranista, where they offered a lantern called as “Cornelio”. Winners of the parol-making contest were awarded by Fr. President. The winners are COEd – champion; College of Engineering – 2nd and CAS – 3rd place. Brother Jaazeal jakosalem,OAR gave the closing remarks. The program was closed with a community singing.
