The Novena masses to St. Ezekiel Moreno started Sunday, August 10. The first day of the Novena with the theme ‘In his prayerful life” was sponsored by the Grade School Department with Rev. FR. Emeterio Buñao, OAR as celebrant in the 8 am Mass while the 6 pm Mass was sponsored by the School of Law and Barristers’ Club of UNO-R with Rev. Fr. Jorge Peligro, OAR as celebrant. The second day 7 am Mass with the theme “as a simple and humble person” is sponsored by READS and Scholarship’s Office with Rev. Fr. Rouel Sia, OAR. The 4:30 Mass with FR. Abraham Latoza,OAR is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences. The third day Novena Mass with the theme “as exemplary Religious” at 7 am with Rev. Fr. Buñao is sponsored by the High School Department while the 4:30 Mass is sponsored by the College of Business and Accountancy with Rev. Fr. Latoza as Celebrant. The fourth day 7:00 Mass with the theme “As a Passionate Missionary” is sponsored by the Grade School Department with Fr. Latoza and the 4:30 Mass is sponsored by the College of Criminal Justice Education with Fr. Latoza. The fifth day 7 am Novena Mass with the theme “As a Good Pastor” is sponsored by the High School Dept. with Rev. Fr. Loreto Dacanay,OAR as celebrant while the 4:30 Mass is sponsored by the College of Information Technology with Rev. Fr. Constantino Real, OAR. The sixth day theme is “In his devotion to Mary”, 7:15 am mass is sponsored by the Grade School Dept. with Rev. Fr. Eduardo Celiz, OAR while the 4:30 Mass is sponsored by the College of Engineering with Fr. Celiz. The seventh day 8 am Novena Mass with the theme “In his holiness” is sponsored by the NSTP with Fr. Real as celebrant. The Eight day of the Novena Mass with the theme “as dedicated in his service” is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus with Fr. Sia as celebrant while the 4:30 Mass will be with Fr. Peligro and sponsored by the RBGS. The 8th day 7 am Novena Mass with the theme “In his love of Wisdom” is sponsored by the Recollect Augustinian Youth with Rev. Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR and the 4:30 Mass with Fr. Gabinete is the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences.
August 19 will be the solemnity of St. Ezekiel Moreno. The day starts with a Walk for Healing at 6 am from the Capitol Lagoon to the university gym. Healing Mass will be at 7:30 am at the university gymnasium. (data from CMO)
