UNO-R Hosts REAP Seminar

The Recoletos Educational Apostolate in the Philippines, Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno held a two-day seminar workshop on “Designing Course Intended Learning Outcome (CILO) Statements for the Common OAR Religious Education ( COReEd) Curriculum and Alignment to Syllabi format” at the President’s Hall, March 15-16, 2014. The first day opened with the Welcome address of Rev. Fr. Cornelio Moral, OAR, UNO-R VP-Religious Affairs and REEd Director. Rev. Fr. Julius Marcos, REAP President gave the rationale of the activity. Rev. Fr. Cirilo Andan, OAR presented the participants coming from University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (Bacolod), Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino – Recoletos (Talisay), Colegio de Santo Tomas de Villanova – Recoletos (San Carlos City), San Pedro Academy (Valencia, Neg. Or) and San Pedro Academy – Recoletos (Caidiocan, Neg. Or). Rev. Fr. Jose Ernil Almayo, OAR introduced the keynote speaker – Dr. Brenda Corpuz. The speech was followed by report of Fr. Moral on the Cebu workshop held earlier. In the afternoon, Dr. Corpuz made some critique and observations on the participants’ formulation of the CILO statements. The first day session ended at around 5 pm.

Day 2 started with the 8 am Mass at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentino. Workshop 2 which is Designing a Sample syllabus for a course/subject was held. Wrap-up of the activity was held after lunch. The activity was closed by University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR.
