The officers of the UNO-R Faculty Employee Mutual Aid Association, MPC (UNO-R FEMAA, MPC) held their induction of officers at the Chalet of the L’Fisher Hotel 22 January 2014. The new officers inducted into office are Antonio Gargarita – Chairman; Atty. Arleen Medina – Vice Chairman; Imelda Matullano – Secretary; Miguela Gustillo – Treasurer; and Eva Torres – Accountant. Board of Directors are: Atty. Erwin Cabarles; Fernando Flores; Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr. ; Thelma Calderon, Ma. Judy Legaspi; Judy Mendoza; and Ruby Ravelista. Bacolod City Mayor Monico Puentevella was the inducting Officer and Guest of honor. The program started at 7 pm. Atty. Medina gave the welcome note while Rev. Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR gave the inspirational message and COMELEC Provincial Supervisor Atty. Jessie Suarez also gave a message. The Chairman of the Board, in his message, shared that the FEMAA is like a beautiful mass of stars that are even brighter and better than any constellation. Fr. Buñao also shared that he considers FEMAA as one of the best cooperatives he has seen in his many ministries while the Mayor said that he likened the officers to the champion Basketball team of UNO-R who have the drive and the “puso” (heart). The officers were serenaded by the beautiful song of Rev. Fr. Jorge Peligro and Dr. Nena Samillano and also by U-week vocal solo champion Mark Nacua.
