VP – ACADEMICS HOLDS SEMINAR

The Office of the Vice President for Academics held a two-day academic forum tagged as “Living Out Professionalism towards Revitalized Recoleto Education.” June 7 and 8 at the President’s Hall. Day 1 started with the Invocation by Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza,OAR and the Statement of Purpose and Welcome Address by Rev. Fr. Jorge Peligro, OAR. Dr. Mildred Garay, DEPEd Regional Director talked to the participants about the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 (RA 10533): Issues and Concerns for all stakeholders. The afternoon session started with the presentation of the salient features of the Offices under the Vice President for Student Welfare and was followed by the talk of Bro. Jaazeal Jakosalem, OAR on the concerns of the Property Office while Rev. Fr. Edcel Celiz, OAR presented the concerns of the Basic Education Department. Fr. VP – Academics closed the program by thanking everyone who shared their time to be in the seminar. He will schedule another meeting with those who were not able to attend the seminar. The second day, opened with the seminar on “Living out Professionalism” by Mr. Ernest L. Tan, RGC. It was a whole day affair of revitalizations and inspirations. The seminar ended with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass officiated by Fr. Peligro with the university Chaplain.
