UNO-R HOLDS “SUG-ALAW REKOLETO”

The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos will hold the Freshmen Assembly Night today June 21 at the University Amphitheater at 3 PM. This year the program tagged as “Sug-alaw Rekoleto” is chaired by Rev. Fr. Cornelio Moral, OAR and co-chaired by Rev. Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR. The program starts with the registration of participants at 3 pm. Entrance to the venue will be done by colleges. Invocation shall be led by Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR. University President, Rev. Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR will give the Welcome address. Information about the university shall be handled by the Offices of Student Development and Placement Center, Public Relations, Campus Ministry and Student Affairs. Bishop Gerardo Alminaza, D.D., first alumnus to become Bishop, will speak to the participants as an outstanding alumnus of the university. The opening program will be followed by the Eucharistic Celebration to be led by Fr. Moral and Homilist is Fr. Gabinete at 8:50 PM. Fr. President will talk on Religious Spirituality to be followed by a group sharing and Taize Prayer which ends at midnight. UNORSSGO President John Floyd Abrico will give his message to the students at 12:45 am . Fr. Gabinete will elaborate on the characteristics of a UNORian. A ramp modeling on the proiper use of the university uniform will be done at 3 am and Rev. Bro. Jaazeal Jakosalem, OAR will discuss the GreenHeart Hermitage practices. The program ends at 5:30 am.
