The University of Negros Occidental- Recoletos together with the World Youth Sport Community signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the implementation of the new 4-year program on May 10, 10:00 AM at UNO-R Fr. Cuenca Hall. The MOA aimed at establishing partnership in the implementation of the new 4-year program, Bachelor of Sports Science (BSS). Both parties are convinced that academic exchange and cooperation will promote human resource development, research enhancement, and other academic activities between the two institutions. UNO-R, as an autonomous university, presented that it has the curriculum and facilities to offer program while WYSC, as an organization, will provide UNO-R with foreign students, especially Koreans to enroll in the said program and UNO-R shall work with WYSC Director or its official representative in the implementation of BSS. This new program shall be implemented for the Academic Year 2014-2015 upon proper notification to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Rev. Fr. Jorge Peligro, OAR, VP-Academics gave the welcome address. UNO-R president Rev. Fr. Emeterio D. Buñao, OAR and WYSC Director Mr. Joon-Soo Lee gave their messages during the said event.
