Rev. Fr. Jorge D. Peligro, OAR is celebrating his silver jubilee on October 3, 2012. He is from Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental. He had his simple profession at the Seminario Mayor-Recoletos in Baguio on June 11, 1983 and his solemn profession as a Religious of the Order of Augustinian Recollects(OAR) in October 18, 1986 in Marcilla, Navarra, Spain while he was ordained to the Priesthood in October 3, 1987 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Cebu City. He is joined by two other silver Jubilarians: Rev. Fr. Bernard Amparado, OAR and Rev. Fr. Joseph Granada, OAR
Fr. Peligro was assigned in schools, seminaries and houses of the OAR. He finished his further studies in Via Sistina, Rome in 1992 and was also assigned in Oxnard, California, USA in 1998. Presently, he is assigned in the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, Bacolod City as Vice President for Academics and Dean of Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School.
