Season 26 of the Students’ Congress of Recollect Schools (SCORES) is hosted by the university this year. It will open today, October 17 and will run until the 20th of this Month. The celebration is opened by a Concelebrated Eucharistic celebration at the oratory with Rev. Fr. Dionisio Cachero,OAR as Main Celebrant.
Traditionally, SCORES is a gathering of secondary students from the recollect schools across the country but since 2011 is Recoletos Education Year, SCORES will now involve the three levels: Grade School, High School and College. Speakers for the Congress are: Rev Fr. Jose Ernil Almayo,OAR on “OAR History”; and Rev. Fr. Raul Buhay, OAR on “Recoletos Education: Kindling the Heart and Empowering the Mind for a Responsible Stewardship.” Academic Contests will highlight the 2nd day of the conference. 3rd day will focus on community outreach. Father Provincial, Rev. Fr. Regino Bancaya, OAR will close the conference with a Thanksgiving Mass at the University Gym on October 20.
