Dr. Roy John De la Torre and Dr. Ofelia Posecion attended the 2-day conference on Multidisciplinary Research last October 21-22, 2011 at La Consolacion College, Bacolod City.The theme of the conference is Practical and Breakthrough Solutions for a Sustainable Asian Region.
The 2nd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research is hosted and organized with the Research and Accreditation Office of La Consolacion College Bacolod (LCCB), the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research (PAIR) and the International Association of Multidisciplinary Research (IAMURE).
Dr. De la Torre presented his paper entitled “Determinants to Research Among Teachers” while Dr. Posecion presented her researches “Metacognitive Awareness as Predictor of the Cognitive Reading Proficiency Among English Language Learners” and “Correlates and Contextual Domains of Instructional Leadership Among Academic Administrators of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos”.
This activity is conducted for the following objectives, to wit:
1. To learn from the experiences and best practices of researchers on academic journals and research
;2. To advocate for practical and breakthrough solutions to the issues and problems in Asia;
3. To disseminate latest research findings;
4. Recognize meritorious achievement of researchers, research leaders and academic journals; and
5. To form linkages.
