UNO-Rian Chosen as THOS

Janna Mary Melitado Lagare, a senior Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, was chosen as one of the top three Outstanding Students of Bacolod City.  The award is given by the Jaycees international (JCI).

Lagare was also the recipient of the AYALA Youth  Leadership Conference (AYLC) last year.   She is currently the Vice-President of the UNO-R Supreme Student Government (UNOSSGO).  In the previous semester, she was the UNOSSGO Senate President. However, when the Vice President –elect quit school, by succession, Lagare was proclaimed as Vice President of UNOSSGO.  She has been a consistent academic excellence  awardee and is a member of the UNO-R Honor Society.

“Aspiring leaders of today , to what extent can you sacrifice yourself in the service and for the sake of not only the people who stand steadfast  by your side, but also of those who determinedly try to pull you down?”  This was the question of Lagare to her fellow young people.

Glezia Marie Perez, a senior Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS), was chosen as one of the 10 finalists.
