Computer Science (ComSci) seniors conquered the individual and group categories of the multi-media programming competition, U-Week 2009 InfoTech Day’s “IT’s in the Mind,” of the College of Information & Technology yesterday at UNO-R Auditorium.
Tagged as champions were Shemamee Clavecillas and Angelo Dominic Quidato for the BrainBlitz, John Paul Artacho for the Digital Art Competition, and Alvin Sta. Agueda for IT’s Got Talent. The Group MTV and Video Spoof were also ruled by the seniors, who portrayed the song “Jai Ho” of the Pussycat Dolls and a video clip from the recent movie “Night at the Museum 2.”
But besting the programming competition Battle of the Logicians, were ComSci juniors Belmar John Perido and Christopher Laconsay.
Despite the holiday, the participation and eagerness of the InfoTech students showed that their hearts were truly rekindled; their minds, probed; and their spirits, enlivened.
