UNO-R to sign MOU with Welcome Home

As part of its advocacy of reaching out to the deaf community in the city, UNO-R will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. (WHFI) on January 30, 2009 at 9:00 AM at the President’s Hall. 

Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. is an institution that specializes in the education of the deaf aiming at helping them live harmoniously with their families and with the hearing world.  In the Memorandum of Understanding, UNO-R shall provide a Computer for the Hearing Impaired (CHI) Program to students of WHFI to be operated under the College of Information Technology.

Fr. Sixto Bitangjol, OAR and Fr. Raul Buhay, OAR will sign the MOU in behalf of the University while Mrs. Agnes Jalandoni, WHFI Deputy Director, and Mrs. Agnes Capillo, Principal, will sign in behalf of WHFI.  The MOU signing will be followed by an orientation program to be conducted by Mr. Carlos Legaspi, Jr. and IT instructors.
