Rev. Fr. Sixto M. Bitangjol, OAR, Human Resources Management Director, together with Mr. Jovito Moral joined in the National Conciliation and Mediation Board, Visayas Regional Cluster Conference in Cebu City last October 26, 2007.
The gathering was represented by Labor-Management Practitioners coming from Region VI, VII and VIII. About 50 participants bonded together in the said conference. Each visited company presented their LMC Practices. Each region was tasked to present the best Labor-Management Practices and UNO-R was honored to share its LMC practices.
The conference started with the welcome messages from Region VI NCMB Executive Director Hon. Reynaldo Ubaldo and Deputy Executive Director IV of NCMB Hon. Johnson Cañete.
The topic was about, “Customer Service: The Visayan Electric Company Model and Experience”. In the exposition, the emphasis was on the customer – friendly approach of the management. There was a quick tour inside the office of the VECO.
Energizer Philippines, Inc. of Jagobiao, Mandaue City was the second destination. Lunch was served at the lawn of the company. Immediately after the sumptuous lunch, the group was catered to the Audio-Visual Room for the presentation on “Best Practices on Lean Manufacturing at Energizer Philippines, Inc.”, the plan of action for a year – round good relationship between the labor and the management and the expansion of the Energizer Company.
Late in the afternoon, the group visited the Clear Export Industries, Inc. The group listened to the “Impact of 5s at Clear Export Industries, Inc.," the “what” and “how” of the company and their means of treating the customers in the international level. The company also emphasized on the health and benefits especially that they were into furniture manufacturing.
The group finally reached the National Conciliation and Mediation Board at Sanciangko St. , Cebu City. From Region VI, Bago Distelleria Incorporated, a company from Iloilo , and Fr. Sixto M. Bitangjol, OAR presented their respective LMC Practices. Hospital Management (Bethany Hospital of Tacloban City) and the Leyeco V (Leyte Electric Cooperative of Ormoc City) highlighted the presentation of Region VIII.
The Regional Cluster Conference ended with a dinner and a fellowship at the Royal Concourse Restaurant.
