Rev. Fr. Miguel Miro Miro, OAR, Prior General of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, is visiting all Recollect communities belonging to the OAR Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno from February 11 – March 24. The visit is tagged as “Visita de Renovacion” and this is his last visit to the OAR communities around the world as Prior General of the Order. Fray Miro is on his second term as he was re-elected in 2016 during the 55th General Chapter of the order.
He will be with the Recoletos de Bacolod community (UNO-R), the OAR Monastery in Tangub, RESOURCE-Handumanan, and Recoletos de Talisay on the 25th to the 27th. He is accompanied by his Councilors: Fray Raul Buhay, OAR; Fray Simeón Puertas, OAR; Fray Nicolas Perez Aradros, OAR; Fray Fioresi Alcimar, OAR; Fray Juan Carlos Avitia, OAR; and Fray Antonio Carrón, OAR.
Together with Rev. Fr. Dionisio Selma, OAR, Prior Provincial of the OAR Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, they will lead the Blessing and Inauguration of the Nuestra Senora de la Salud Hall (Integrated School building). He will also be meeting with the members of Recoletos de Bacolod community, the Secular Augustinian Recollects Fraternity (SARF) and Recoletos Augustinian Youth (RAY).
The Fr. General and his council has already visited the communities in Palawan; Cebu; Valencia; Tambo, Negros Oriental and San Carlos. The General will also visit Recoletos communities in Surigao del Sur; Manila; Tondo; Cavite; Taiwan and Saipan; and the AR nuns houses.
