Two UNO-Rians are finalists of Junior Chamber International, Inc. (JCI, Inc.) The Outstanding Students (THOS) 2019. They are Carmen Jesusa B. Legaspi (College category) and Hazel Lorraine Herida (High School category). Legaspi is from the College of Arts and Sciences and is currently the Governor of the College. In her previous years, she also held positions such as First Year Class Representative of the Mass Communication Society A.Y. 2015-2016; Senator of the UNO-R Supreme Student Government (UNORSSGO) AY 2016-2017; President of Sowing Legacy Movement UNO-R Chapter and Vice President of Mass Communication Society AY 2017-2018. She is also a consistent Dean’s Listee of the College of Arts and Sciences and is an Academic and Dependent Scholar of this university. She joined the other 9 Finalists for the THOS Awards 2019 Finalists’ Forum last January 26, 2019 at Ayala Capitol Central. Three Students will then be selected and dubbed as the THOS Awardees 2019 for the College Category on February 16, 2019 at Ayala Capitol Central Activity Centre. Herida is a Grade 10 section St. Possidius student. She is very thankful for the experiences and learning’s she gained as one of the THOS finalists. She is the daughter of Henry and Lorelli Herida. Hazel Lorraine is planning to take up ABM for Senior High School and pursue her dream of becoming a CPA-Lawyer. The THOS Awards 2019 will be on Feb. 16, 2019 at Ayala Capitol Central Activity Center.
