UNO-R AND CHUO SIGN MOA

The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos and the CHUO Food Services company, Limited of Japan signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the succeeding batches of the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) last January 11, 2019 at the President’s Hall. Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR represented the university while Mr. Koumei Kanda, chairman of the company, represented Chuo. The simple program opened with the welcome message from the Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, Dr. Clarita T. Lacson, CPA. Fr. President, in his message, thanked the company for the accommodation it has extended to the UNOR student–interns while Mr. Kanda, in his message, thanked for trusting his company and congratulated the university for having produced good student-interns. Rev. Fr. Jose Alden Alipin, OAR gave the closing remarks. The MOA signing was witnessed by Ms. Mita Kikuchi of the company, Fr. Alipin and Dr. Lacson for the university. Representatives of the Internship coordinator, Asia Development Center, Association were also present. In 2017, the university and the company entered into a partnership that had sent 5 batches of Business Administration, Hospitality Management and Tourism Management students for a 6-month internship program with CHUO Food Services Company, Ltd.
