FLDL CELEBRATES 84TH NATIONAL BOOK WEEK 2018

November 26, 2018 – UNO-Recoletos Fray Luis de Leon Library celebrated the 84th National Book Week with the theme, “Connected Actions. Collective Vision: Libraries Transforming Society.” An Awarding of Top Borrowers and IMC users and Oathtaking of the IS Library Book Club Officers highlight the day’s celebration. Mrs. Virginia Mugar opened the program with an invocation and welcome remarks were given by Ms. Ma. Charisse Camille Pansinsoy, chair of the 84th National Book Week. The opening formalities were followed by the oath taking and awarding of 2017-2018 top borrowers followed. This year’s top borrowers are (faculty category) Mrs. Ma. Joselina Basa (COEd); Mrs. Arlene Esplanada (JHS); and Ms. Jeca Santos (Grade School); for student category: Lyanjo Kent Limbaga (BSEE); Kendra Kirsten Dayot (Grade 3); Zoe Dominique Gudio (JHS); Wilredo Caler, Jr. (SHS); Top Periodical users: Ferdie Imperial (BSCE); Top IMC users: Nikko Paolo Calumpiano (COEd) and Ms. Rosita Jane Sorallo (SHS). In behalf of the awardees, Ms. Dayot gave the response. Director of Libraries, Mrs. Sheila M. Dela Cruz gave Closing Remarks.
