The Recoletos communities in the province of Negros Occidental will celebrate on August 19 the feast day of St. Ezekiel Moreno, the Patron Saint of Cancer Patients and the Patron of the Order of Augustinian Recollects in the Philippines, Taiwan and Sierra Leone.
There will be a Solemn Concelebrated Mass on the 19th in honor of St. Ezekiel Moreno Monastery, Tangub, Bacolod City. The Main Celebrant s Most Rev. Bishop Patricio Buzon, SDB, DD., Bishop of Bacolod.
At UNO-Recoletos, the day will start with the “11th Walk for Healing” from Capitol Lagoon to the university gymnasium where it will be capped with a Thanksgiving Mass with Anointing of the sick. The Main Celebrant and Homilist will be Rev. Fr. Farley Santillan.
On the other hand, Recoletos Social Outreach Center (RESOURCE)-Handumanan will also celebrate their fiesta on August 19. It will commence with a Thanksgiving Mass at 8:30 am with Bishop Emeritus Vicente Navarra, D.D.
Meanwhile in the Parish of San Nicholas de Tolentino and the Colegio de San Nicholas de Tolentino (CSNT-R) in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, the Fiesta Mass will be held on August 20 with Rev. Fr. Leonardo Pauligue, OAR as Main Presider and Rev. Fr. Randolph Castillo, OAR as Homilist.
Colegio Santo Tomas de Recoletos, San Carlos City, will also celebrate the feast of the saint.
