The University of Negros Occidental Recoletos will create its own fire brigade after a 4-day training under the Bureau of Fire Protection. The trainers are FO2 Arnel Chavez; F02 Carlo Vincent Mallari; F02 Antonne Rozz Zegg; F01 Justine Dagiagnao; F01 Edrex Sabando and F01 Harold Oquindo. The speakers tackled the following topics for 4 days BFP Mission and Vision; Roles and Responsibilities of a Fire Brigade; Fire service; Chemistry of Fore; Personal Protective Equipment/SCBA; Fire Alarm and Communication; Firefighting Equipment and apparatus; Portable Fire Extinguishers and LPG; Fire hose and nozzles; Ground ladder operation; Ten phases of Firefighting Operation; Basic Search and Rescue Techniques and practical demo on the third day. The last day will be the discussion on Firefighting safety techniques at APSA Pana-ad. Closing ceremonies will be at 1 pm.
