The University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos hosted the Recoletos Educational Apostolate of the Philippines (REAP) Teacher Training on the New Religious Education and Christian Life Formation Textbooks on June 14, 2018 at UNO–R Rooms SA101 and SA102. The training was participated by the Administrators and faculty members of other Recoletos Schools in the Visayas: UNO–R; Colegio de San Nicolas de Tolentino, Talisay; Colegio de Santo Tomas de Villanueva–Recoletos, San Carlos City; San Pedro Academy – Recoletos; San Pedro Academy, Valencia, Negros Oriental; and University of San Jose–Recoletos, Balamban, Cebu Campus. There were 25 participants. The author-trainers are book writers of the REAP ReEd Textbooks and Christian Life Formation books. They are Dr. Justin Joseph Badion and Dr. Mark Joseph Calano. Rev. Fr. Cristituto Palomar, OAR, UNO–R Vice –President for Religious Affairs and Director for Religious Education, in his welcome address, reminded the participants that we always have to consider that the heart of the curriculum is Religious Education and Campus Ministry. He also reminded the participants to work together bring about the message of God in the students. The sessions ended at 3:30 pm with a Holy Sacrifice of the mass at the Adoration Chapel. The activity was facilitated by the offices under the VP-Religious Affairs (Religious Education Department Campus Ministry Office) and UCDO.
