CALVO LEADS UNO-R JHS BATCH 2018

Joshua Steven B. Calvo led the Moving-up ceremonies of the UNO-Recoletos Junior High School Batch 2018. He is also a recipient of the DIWA Excellence Award, Excellence in Science, Excellence in Math, and Techfactor’s Outstanding IT student award. A Thanksgiving Mass at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentino was held for Batch 2018. Moving Up Ceremony at the University gym started at 6 pm. Opening formalities was done before the Presentation of the candidates for completion by Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR , Integrated School Principal and Basic Education Director, while Acceptance of candidates for completion was done by Rev. Fr. Eduardo S. Celiz, Jr., OAR, University President. Distribution of certificates to the completers was done by Rev. Fr. Latoza and was assisted by Mrs. Leila C. Magalona, MAEd, Academic Coordinator. Awarding of the Academic and Special Awards to the honor completers was done by the Fr. President, Fr. Latoza, OAR and Mrs. Magalona. The Tribute to Alma Mater will be given by Joshua Steven B. Calvo. Singing of the Alma Mater Hymn and Recessional will end the ceremonies. Other honor students are: Zoe Dominique S. Gudio – 2nd honors and recipient of the DIWA Excellence award and Service award; graduating with honors: Jhola G. Villanueva; Jeric S. Tan; Alyssa May D. Javier (Religious Involvement Award); Abigail L. Cordova; Joshua John T. Noble (Servce Award); Danell L. Jumayao (Iwag award and Literary award in writing); Jessele Ann V. Casiple; Franze Beatriz J. Caballero; Darriene Gayle C. Dusaran; and Joellan Chris S. Arlos. Sports awardees are: Dyna Sicil Nieves, Lina Gto, Luis Clauor, and Ray Benedict Aboy. Cultural award is given to Thea Ebon and Distinction in scouting is awarded to John Kyle Iral. Jhola Villanueva is a recipient of the Gerry Roxas leadership award, St. Cecilia Award in Music, Leadership award and Literary award in Music.
