UNO-R, RECIPIENT OF CHED “DARE TO” GRANT

 

The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos is once again a recipient of another grant from the Commission on Higher Education.   Discovery Applied Research and Extension Trans/Inter-disciplinary Opportunities (DARE TO) grant of 5 million will be given to fund a joint research entitled “Value Negros: Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment for Local Utilization and Empowerment of Resilient Communities in Negros Occ.”  This will be a joint research project by UNO-Recoletos;  Riverside College; John B Lacson Colleges Foundation; and University of St. La Salle.  The Value Negros Team is composed of Engr. Monafreda SEcondes, ChE, PhD – project Manager;  Engr. Ashraf Khater, ChE – Physical Environment Area leader;  Richelle Verdeprado, RSW, MSW, PhD – Socio –economic area leader;  Engr. Elvi Summer V. Idiosolo, CE – Health Area Leader;  Jude Xerxes Herbolario, RMT – Health Area Researcher;  Roseminda Lamig, RN, MAN – Health Area Researcher;  3/E Charles Mangga – Physical Environment Area Researcher;   Joenard Urbanozo, CE – Physical Environment Area Researcher;  and Teodoro Angelo Villanueva, LPT –Socio economic area researcher.
