A (3rd) Third Year Medical Technology student, Barachiel Concepcion was chosen to be a delegate in the Asia Youth International Model United Nations 2017 (AYIMUN) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, November 3-6,2017. She represented Slovenia in the UNESCO council. “It was such an opportunity for me to be able to be a part of something that might change the world someday. We discussed different issues and calculated solutions with people with different culture from different parts of the world. It was indeed an amazing experience and very life changing. “ Concepcion said. This is an extra curricular activity in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. The delegates are placed in committees and assigned countries, or occasionally other organizations or political figures, where they represent members of that body.
